La capacidad de carga de los puntales de acero var\u00eda seg\u00fan el modelo y la marca. Normalmente, un puntal de acero soporta entre 10 kN y 50 kN (aproximadamente entre 1 y 5 toneladas). Algunos puntales de acero de alta resistencia pueden alcanzar entre 60 y 70 kN. Existen puntales de acero especiales de alta resistencia que alcanzan una capacidad cercana a la de un puntal m\u00faltiple, pero su peso es muy elevado y su ajuste no es flexible.<\/p>
